About the role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Leader to lead and grow our EAM Implementation practice in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions like IBM Maximo. The Practice Leader will be responsible for managing our strategic EAM partnership(s), supporting pre-sales activities, and ensuring the successful delivery of implementation services. This role will require a blend of technical expertise, partner management, and business development skills to drive growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. IFS Ultimo Practice Leadership:

  • Lead and grow the EAM implementation practice, including managing teams, developing best practices, and building a strong culture of excellence.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions.
  • Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to position the practice for growth in the US.

2. Partner Management: 

  • Manage and maintain the relationship with key partners, ensuring alignment of goals and mutual success.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all partnership-related activities, including strategic initiatives, joint marketing, business development and implementation services.
  • Ensure continuous collaboration and effective communication with the partner to stay aligned on product development, updates, and roadmaps.

3. Pre-Sales Support and Business Development: 

  • Support pre-sales activities by working closely with the sales team to scope and define the technical and functional aspects of EAM solutions.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to provide insights into the technical and business value of the EAM solution, helping to close deals and win new business.
  • Provide detailed implementation service scoping, timelines, and resource planning based on client needs and system specifications.

4. EAM Implementation Expertise: 

  • Oversee the successful delivery of EAM implementation projects from initiation through completion.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical consultants, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Provide hands-on expertise and guidance in the configuration, customization, and optimization of the EAM solution for various industries.
  • Understand the typical business requirements for an EAM solution for a maintenance organization for various industries.

5. Team Management and Development: 

  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of skilled consultants, architects, and project managers focused on EAM implementations.
  • Ensure continuous upskilling and certification of team members to stay aligned with EAM product developments and market demands.

Additional Information:

This role will require occasional travel to client sites and partner meetings. The Practice Leader will play a critical role in shaping the future of our EAM practice and will have the opportunity to influence the broader direction of the business. It is important to note that the primary EAM solution used and implemented in the EAM practice is IFS Ultimo. As this EAM solution is relatively new in the US market, we don’t expect experience with this solution.

About you

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in leading EAM solution implementation practices, with a preference for IBM Maximo.
Deep understanding of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems and best practices.
Experience in partner management and maintaining strategic vendor relationships, particularly with IFS or other major EAM vendors.
Demonstrated expertise in pre-sales support, including scoping, client presentations, and developing implementation plans.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement in practice operations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
