Job description

• You are the project officer for the 'All for a good course' project, raising awareness among its users about their students' use of the learning materials deployed;
• You will be gaining knowledge about our Learning Resources Repository and you are able to translate teacher requests into specific actions;
• You participate in the project ‘Booklick’, in which content of the University Library can be provided with social engagement via a platform, leading to a more efficient and richer use of the literature we offer;
• You support other educational projects initiated within the University Library.

Requirements

We are looking for

• A customer focused and tactful team player, engaging, with a sense of humor;
• A completed HBO or academic education;
• Experience with supporting educational projects;
• Experience with educational systems (Canvas is a plus) and technical orientation;
• Verbal and written command of the Dutch and English languages at B2 or C1 level;

The successful candidate will be offered a fulltime one year contract with Erasmus University Rotterdam. This contract can, in case of positive assessment and unchanged organizational circumstances, be converted into a fixed employment contract. In accordance with the conditions applied at Erasmus University Rotterdam as indicated in the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO NU) of the Dutch universities, the salary is dependent on the candidate’s experience and is set at a maximum of CAO NU scale 9 with a minimum of €2.968,- and a maximum of €4.078,- gross per month, on a fulltime basis. In addition, EUR pays an 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year payment of 8.3% and offers excellent secondary benefits, and a very generous leave scheme. Furthermore, EUR is affiliated with ABP for the pension provision, and we offer partially paid parental leave, fully paid extended birth leave for partners, a personal education budget, work-life balance coaches and more. Employees can also use EUR facilities, such as the Erasmus sports center and the University library.

University Library

The University Library has an open culture: collaboration, working based on trust and taking responsibility are important to us. The Library is the content manager of the University and helps researchers and students to create and spread knowledge. In doing so, knowledge becomes accessible to every citizen and we contribute to the societal impact of the EUR.

Education Support

Your colleagues in the Education Support team provide training in searching, obtaining, evaluating, validating, managing, and editing information (information skills). They develop online teaching materials, advise and support EUR lecturers. Your colleagues also participate in (national) projects for educational innovation and projects for the development and promotion of open and online learning resources. In addition, part of the team takes care of the services of the University Library building, such as dealing with questions, providing study places, lending out books and other services.
