Your responsibilities as a Business Development & Marketing Representative

You will be based out of Mumbai and you will be located with all our 50 colleagues in Freight Forwarding. Within the Contract Logistics division, you will be part of a Pan-Indian, small and agile team, in which you directly report to the Vice President.

No day will be the same: You are someone who enjoys learning and is motivated to build relationships, to do proactive market research, and to create compelling presentations. You recognize that there is still much to develop, but you’re proactive in maintaining all opportunities in CRM, picking up the phone, and engaging with incoming leads, whether they come through our website or email. You will join the Vice President at industry events and ensure all meetings are prepared smoothly.

Together with the National Head of Contract Logistics team, you will translate customer requests into a tailored proposal, covering both operational and financial aspects.

Success is a team effort, and you will be involved from the market research, identifying leads, planning meetings, generating the first inquiry to the issuance of the first invoice.

Your profile as a Business Development & Marketing Representative

As mentioned, you are highly commercial, confident, and eager to learn. You enjoy building and expanding a network, and you can identify exactly who the decision-makers are and how to convince them of Broekman Logistics’ services.

Additionally, you have:
  • 2 to 4 years of working experience or a proven track record of independently executed internships (for entry-level candidates)
  • A completed bachelor or master degree
  • A logistics-related or marketing & sales education (for entry-level candidates) or some work experience and looking for the next step in your career
  • Strong skills in building relationships remotely through phone, Teams, or email
  • Fluent English skills at a professional level
  • Good skills in the Office suite and an eye-for-detail in presentation making.
