PACCAR Financial Europe (PFE) provides financial services for DAF dealers and end customers to support the sales of DAF trucks. PFE is part of the worldwide PACCAR Financial Services organization, has its headquarters at the DAF-premises in Eindhoven (G15) and is active in a large number of European countries with their own sales & support offices.

The PFE IT department is responsible for the development, configuration, testing and deployment of innovative IT-solutions, management of these systems during their lifecycle and support of the users of these systems. PFE-IT consists of appr. 26 fte. of which 18 internal and works according the agile scrum framework.

Projects
PFE has recently replaced its legacy backend ‘LLAS’ Contract Management System by a Leasing Contract Management System from ‘Alfa Systems’ in all 15 countries in Europe. The new system interfaces to an in house built front end application for Quoting, Credit Mgt. and Contract Creation (‘FSCS’), a financial accounting system (‘Exact’) and is supported by a data warehouse for reporting purposes.

In parallel to the roll-out of the Alfa system and the upgraded FSCS system, functionality is added and enhanced to the front end, like Credit Autorecommend and E-signature functionality.

PFE IT is currently preparing a follow up projects ‘PFE Retail Financing : Building on the Foundation’ and ‘Comprehensive Used Trucks Remarketing System’, which will start on short notice.

Function description

The Functional Application Manager has a thorough understanding of the business processes’ and how these are supported by the IT-systems. He/she therefore is the first line of support for the business regarding the functionality of the systems in his domain.

The FAM is part of one of the Agile Teams that work on new developments and/or configurations to support the roll-out and/or enhancements to the systems.

He/she works closely together with (key) users, information analysts, developers, colleague functional application managers, product owner, scrum master and project managers

He/she enthusiastically and proactively promotes the correct use of the systems.

Job Responsibilities

Together with users translates business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria as input for the agile development/configuration teams;

Prioritizes user stories on the backlog as input for sprints;
Performs systems, workflow and/or document configuration;
Supports users with questions and issues, tests and coordinates solutions
Responsible for system & integration testing;
Gives presentations, demo’s, trains and supports key and/or end users;
Coordinates deployments of developed software to the production environment;
Supports Internal and Sox Audits

Function Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or related field;

The following working experience is an advantage in this role :
Agile way of working supported by Azure DevOps
Previous work experience as functional application manager in a financial services environment ;
Tools for the creation, maintenance and execution of automated tests
Capability to understand, describe and analyze complex business processes;
Highly analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Fluent in English, Dutch language preferred;
Team player and able to work closely with developers & users
