Summary Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled freelance Azure DevOps Engineer with expertise in migrating on-premise infrastructure to the Azure cloud. This role involves working on a critical project to transition systems and applications to Azure, ensuring smooth integration, high availability, and security throughout the migration process.

Requirements Description:

Proven experience (4+ years) in Azure DevOps, managing cloud infrastructure, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Strong knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
Extensive experience in migrating on-premise infrastructure to the Azure cloud.
Familiarity (2+ years) with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or ARM Templates.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding (3+ years) of cloud security best practices and compliance.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Tasks Description:

Lead and manage the migration of on-premise infrastructure, systems, and applications to the Azure cloud.
Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment during the migration.
Automate the migration process to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the migration process.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless transition and integration with Azure.
Implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure.
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance during and after the migration to ensure high availability and reliability.
Maintain documentation for all migration procedures, configurations, and best practices.

Essential Skills/Experience Description:

4+ years of Azure DevOps experience, managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
3+ years of experience migrating on-premise infrastructure to Azure, including applications, networking, and storage.
2+ years of experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, ARM Templates, or similar tools.
2+ years of experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
3+ years of solid understanding of cloud computing, particularly Microsoft Azure.
2+ years of scripting skills in PowerShell or other languages for automation.
Proven 3+ years of problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot migration-related issues.
2+ years of experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in a cloud environment.

Desirable Skills/Additional Information Description:

Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
2+ years of experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, App Insights).
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and related tools (Jira, etc.).
2+ years of familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration.
Experience with Kubernetes or managing microservices architectures.
Strong experience in hybrid cloud strategies or multi-cloud environments.
