(Senior) IT-consultant

Your ambitions

To support the growth of our Technology team in Amsterdam we are looking for digital savvy people with 3-7 years of experience in IT-consultancy projects.

Your responsibilities

As a (senior) IT consultant at BearingPoint you’ll be executing challenging assignments in the IT domain for various appealing clients in the Telecommunications, Energy and FMCG sectors. You will help shape the IT landscape of organizations in a wide variety of IT related roles ranging from (senior) development and solution architecture roles to more business analysis & project management ones. Examples of possible assignments include leading a team of developers, defining the solution architecture of a specific system, acting as a (technical) Product Owner and being a sparring partner for IT-architects. You will do this as part of multi-disciplinary teams building bridges between business and IT to achieve the goals of the client. Internally, you will develop proposals for clients, help to build the Dutch IT Transformation team and coach more junior colleagues.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Information Management, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent;
• 3-7 years of experience with IT consulting, preferably in a consulting or project-based environment;
• Demonstrate a strong background in IT development
• A shown broad interest in IT and how (IT) solutions can realize (business) goals;
• Work experience or a shown interest in one of the mentioned sectors.
• Ability to spot opportunities and act on them;
• Knowledge and/or experience with one or more programming languages;
• Knowledge of and/or experience with IT integration standards and technologies (e.g. JSON, Rest, JMS);
• Experience with requirements engineering, business & IT design techniques (e.g. UML);
• Learning fast and eager to pick up new technologies;
• Strong analytical skills, supplemented with a conceptual mindset;
• Ability to empathize and well-developed listening skills;
• A customer-, and results oriented and proactive attitude;
• A representative appearance and proactive, independent attitude;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (fluent in Dutch and English).
