GenomeScan is a service provider for innovative DNA and RNA analyses. We provide fast, affordable, and high-quality patient diagnostics and genetic laboratory research. Our diagnostic services play a crucial role in identifying the causes of diseases and providing support for individual treatment plans. We also undertake projects for research groups and pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

We take on a diverse range of challenging projects that are analysed using advanced Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques, including Whole Genome, Exome, and Gene-panel Sequencing, RNA- and Methyl sequencing, and various bioinformatics pipelines. Our laboratory is equipped with the latest Illumina, PacBio, Ion Torrent, and Nanopore sequencers, as well as robotic systems for automated sample processing. GenomeScan complies with international quality standards and is ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 accredited.

We are a professional and culturally diverse organization consisting of both young and experienced individuals, centered around an informal work environment. Are you looking for a challenging lab facility management role at a young and rapidly growing company? Do you have a few years of lab and/or facility management experience and are you ready for the next step in your career?

Come join our team and become our new Lab Facility Officer!
(preferably 40 hrs. per week)

What will you do?

As a Lab Facility Officer, you will be part of the Laboratory department and responsible for executing laboratory facility management, ensuring accurate laboratory inventory and sample administration.

On a daily basis, you will:

• Coordinate lab inventory/ stock control, in close collaboration with the Finance department.
• Request quotations for and ordering of laboratory supplies.
• Receive, process and dispatch laboratory samples, with the correct corresponding document handling.
• Participate in relevant process optimalisation projects.
• Maintain SOP’s and other procedures.
• Act as a back-up for the Facility Officer of the Office department.

What do you offer?

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in facility management or in life science with office management experience.
• Experience in a similar function and/or familiarity with lab procedures is a plus
• A proactive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English both verbally and in writing.
