Taking care of an Advanced Analytics environment as a Data Scientist within CBS.

Wat ga je doen?

Cross Border Solutions (CBS) is the business unit of PostNL which provides international delivery solutions to businesses worldwide.
CBS business intelligence & analytics provides insights for the entire CBS organization. We aim for the whole of CBS to have the knowledge and tools to be capable to make data driven (fact based) decisions.

You are primarily responsible for creating insights for CBS by developing models and machine learning algorithms and carrying out quantitative analyses with in- and external data sources.

You will initiate new projects by actively scouting for opportunities and working with the business owner to come to a well-defined goal. Together with 3 other Data Scientists you’ll look for challenging and interesting projects across the entire department. You will have the opportunity and flexibility to help build this new team.

The work environment is completely digital and can be logged on to from any location. Even though there is a lot of energy in the office, you are able to work from a location you prefer. Within the office the workspaces are flexible, so you decide in the morning where you want to sit. Working within CBS BI&A you will have 5 direct colleagues. Although all working on the same goal, a data driven CBS, you will be responsible for Advanced Analytics.

Wat breng jij mee?

• 2 years of experience with coding in SQL, R and Python;
• If you already have AWS knowledge or experience, that is an advantage;
• Applicable knowledge of statistics;
• Analysing large volumes of data;
• Combining an entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical knowledge.
