DAF Commercial Services is the department where services linked to Total Cost of Ownership (TCoO) come together. Customers are looking for total transport solutions, so offering the right services is the opportunity for DAF to differentiate in the market.

DAF Commercial Services is responsible for creation, delivery and sales of both existing and new Repair and Maintenance services. Our vision is to become the preferred partner for all DAF customers for all services linked to the DAF trucks, for which the customer is willing to pay a fee.

Within DAF Commercial Services, the Sales Management department is responsible for developing the business and growing the sales of services by the DAF dealer network, through the Sales units. In most of the Sales Units we have dedicated Commercial Services Organizations responsible for their portfolio and Customer and Dealer relations.

Function description

Within the current sales team you are taking the lead offering a sales support structure for the subsidiaries including a.o. developing and improving tools like lead management system, rate structures and well-structured cooperation agreements with dealers and third parties.

For assigned countries you are responsible for developing Sales plans and realizing the targets for Commercial Services. You work in very close cooperation with the Commercial Services team in these countries, supporting and managing them to offer excellent customer service while obtaining maximum sales results.

  • You assist the local Commercial Services managers in creating Business plans and help them develop effective sales programs. You follow up on the progress and execution of their plans and actions, and initiate corrective actions if needed.
  • You closely monitor the market developments in the services area and advise the Eindhoven commercial services development team how to best meet Customer requirements based on your knowledge of the market.
  • You are the expert regarding a specific number of Services developed by the Product Managers.
  • For large International Fleets -who do business directly with DAF NV- you are the Key Account contact and you coordinate the correct and consistent offering of required Services in all countries where the Fleet is active.
You report directly to the Director of Commercial Services.

Function Requirements

We are looking for candidates who are educated on a Bachelor level and have at least 5 years working experience in Services / Sales / Sales Management.

  • To perform well in this job you need to be able to communicate fluently in English and Dutch and at least one other modern language.
  • You agree to travel abroad up to 30% of your time for several days on a row, visiting your business partners.
  • You are experienced in working with Dealers and have technical knowledge and interest in automotive.
  • You like to work structurally and data driven, displaying a supporting and goal oriented work ethic. The ideal candidate is always looking for new ways to increase customer satisfaction and generates creative ideas to grow the business.
  • You are an independent, sales oriented and target driven person and have the ability to adapt easily.
