About the job

As a Project Manager, you lead a project team responsible for the interior of a new superyacht. Under your guidance, the team takes care of all finishing aspects of the luxurious interior, including mechanical installations and steel structures. You guide team members throughout the design and engineering process, closely monitoring the schedule and budget.

From the moment the order is placed by the client, you play a crucial role in realizing the yacht. You act as a spokesperson and intermediary between various parties. You regularly collaborate with the interior designer, engineers from other departments, and co-builders to discuss the budget and feasibility of the interior. Together with the procurement department, you negotiate contracts with suppliers. Throughout the entire process, you ensure the customer's preferences are upheld and, if necessary, make adjustments in consultation with them.

About you

For this role, we are looking for someone with the following profile:

• You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education.
• You have a minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in a similar position.
• You possess extensive expertise in yacht finishing aspects and are familiar with the REG Yacht Code.
• You excel at maintaining an overview when it comes to planning, budgets, and project capacity.
• You have the ability to think and work analytically, with both spatial and technical insight, in a solution-oriented and multidisciplinary manner.
• You are sociable and proactive.
• You have a good command of both the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.

Our clients is a Dutch company specializing in shipbuilding. Damen Yachting focuses specifically on luxury yacht construction and services. They are known for their high-quality custom-built yachts, ranging from smaller leisure vessels to superyachts. They offer a range of services including new builds, refits, maintenance, and support for yacht owners.
